Advanced Technology
There will be unique cases where an agreement cannot be reached by our team of authenticators. This is where our state-of-the-art technology comes in. JML employs the Video Spectral Comparator (VSC). This is a powerful workstation that uses sophisticated colour and infrared imaging, magnification, coaxial lighting, side lighting, and on-screen, side-by-side or overlaid autograph comparisons. In doing so, the VSC can detect erasures, reveal masked and obliterated signatures, differences in ink types, and several other signs common in autograph forgeries which cannot be detected by the naked eye.
How it works
Each item that arrives for authentication is systematically reviewed by a team of authenticators. All impressions must be unanimous for the item to be deemed authentic. Each signature is carefully compared to our huge exemplar library of database which proves its legitimacy. An individual scoring system is employed by each member of the authenticating team. Certified items are then given a unique ID registration number and a tamper-evident label to be attached to the item. Then the certificate is signed off by the member of the team for its final approval. Items that fail this strict examination will be sent a separate email detailing the inconsistencies of the item and an explanation on our conclusion.
